Turning Tides, an organisation with a rich 30-year history, is a multifunctional charity dedicated to addressing complex homelessness needs in our local communities. Their unwavering mission is to put an end to homelessness in the areas they serve.
From their humble beginnings supporting a handful of individuals in the coastal town of Worthing, they’ve expanded their reach to assist more than 1,700 people across Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham, and Mid Sussex. With the support of over 10,000 dedicated champions, 300 passionate volunteers, and a committed team of 160 staff members, we’ve made significant strides towards our goal.
THE JOB
As a crucial member of the team, your role will centre around providing tailored support to clients. You’ll work collaboratively with them to create and implement individually negotiated support plans. These plans are designed to help clients secure stable accommodation while embarking on their unique journey to recovery, rooted in abstinence-based principles.
Approach is deeply informed by psychology and revolves around a strengths-based methodology. In addition to direct client support, this role will encompass some Housing Management responsibilities, including service charge collection, void management, and health and safety/maintenance checks.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of individuals in our communities, particularly by expanding recovery-focused accommodation services in Horsham.
Given the rural nature of the district, having a driving license and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
