Crawley Community Action (CCA) proudly chairs the Crawley Local Community Network (LCN) in partnership with Crawley Borough Council. Local Community Networks are collaborative, multi-agency partnerships covering each district and borough in West Sussex, working to tackle key local health inequality priorities. These partnerships include local authorities, healthcare providers, and voluntary sector organisations, all striving to make the best use of resources while reducing duplication of efforts.

In recent years, LCNs across West Sussex have focused on improving access to primary care, cancer screening, supporting young people’s mental health, promoting healthy ageing, and addressing the cost of living. Together, they work with local and national partners, using their combined expertise to influence decisions and drive positive change across a network of organisations.

2024-2025 Focus: Health and Wellbeing in Temporary Accommodation

Following discussions between Crawley Borough Council, the NHS, and West Sussex County Council Public Health, the Crawley LCN has set its priority for April 2024 – March 2025. This year’s focus will be on “Supporting the health and wellbeing of residents living in temporary accommodation”

As part of this commitment, we have been hosting coffee mornings for residents in temporary accommodation, creating a welcoming space for them to share their experiences, connect with others, and access local services. These gatherings provide an invaluable opportunity for attendees to receive guidance and support from local organisations and to foster a supportive community.
