Grace Eyre are currently offering two free accredited courses to 19+ year olds with a Learning Disability in West Sussex. They have two courses on offer: Learning for Life and Learning for Work.
Learning for Life
This is designed to help increase life skills. Through learning about oneself and others, participants will develop their independence, wellbeing, and sense of community. Improve wellbeing and learn about IT and communication, socialising, travel, budgeting and getting support over eight tutor-led sessions with a certificate at the end of the course.
Learning for Work
This course promotes an understanding of the workplace and motivates learners to feel empowered and confident to take the next steps towards employment. The course prepares learners by focusing on their strengths, skills, and career aspirations.
Each course consists of one session per week for 8 weeks and is ASDAN accredited. Please see below for upcoming start dates. Interested individuals can register through the links provided.
You will learn about health & safety, work standards, worker rights, customer service, teamwork, CVs and interviews. You will also have some responsibilities of independent work outside of sessions.
Come to all 8 sessions to earn a certificate.
